Our first persimmon, and the one everybody asks for. Fuyu is non astringent, so you eat it firm and crisp like an apple, straight off the tree, with no waiting for it to go soft. The fruit is large, flat and deep orange, almost seedless, and sweet. The tree is self fertile, hardy and ornamental, with glossy summer leaves and fruit that colors up the fall garden.
